I wanted to share an article on Custom Photography.  (follow link above)

It explains all about the art of custom photography and the importance of what you are really PAYING for and why you SOMETIMES want to choose this route as opposed to traditional mass studios for your family's portraits.

Ok, so I may go image overboard on this next sneak peek post - why not (it's only almost midnight & I don't need any sleep anyway-haha?!?-- & it is so close to the holidays & one thing I am VERY thankful to God for (among many things) is the BEST clients this year.  This sweet family was no exception to that  -  easy going and FUN.  It felt like I was hanging out with friends not working. What more could I ask for?   Their sweet baby Miss "K " happens to deserve an award for being so cooperative & happy throughout the entire session  letting me drag them from spot to spot in a small town downtown. K&B, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this time in your life - it was a pleasure!!!  (I am so glad I figured out how to post images larger)

A boy & his dog

I feel like I am leaving G-man out with all the posts about lil brother-- the other day we went for a walk with Riley girl (she weighs 77lbs so the walking does her good :) )
Gavin will tell you HIS dog is Max (our dalmation) but alas Max does not go on walks with us because he always ends up walking Us!!! hehe-- so Riley kindly stood in for a quick picture-- she is SO gentle with the boys.

A journey to get his picture.....

Well taking pictures of crawlers is a challenge in itself (little movers & shakers they are)- but when it is YOUR OWN baby & he wants you to hold him or would rather eat leaves :0, getting pictures can be almost impossible-- but that doesn't stop any parent now does it? & especially not me!!! So one day last week when it was just me & the lil guy(aka Iain Maddox)...I loaded him up to go get some new pictures of him & start on images for our family's Christmas cards--- well, when I got down the road to the spot I was going to....I found my lil Pumpkin (monkey)...........asleep!!!
So I practiced capturing sunbursts & things around me .....until he awoke (yay!!!) refreshed & ready for a few snaps which I can't share my favs until the cards are done :)

Urban family portraits - full of JOY! : a sneak peek

I love this time of year!  Not just because I *adore* fall but also because I get to see some of the sweetest (returning) clients.  I had such a nice time this last weekend with the L family. Their two boys are such sweethearts - full of life & happiness- they make my job so easy!!!  Little brother Cooper was too young to keep up with his big brother last year-- but he easily holds his own now :)  I am resisting the urge to post more sneak peeks as I love so many from this session.   To this family, Thank you so much for spending your morning with me, I had a blast and look forward to seeing you all again soon.  Until I have your final proofs ready, I hope you enjoy these few--PS I did get some great ones with MiMi but I can't show them all YET!!!
