I know this lil guys' mommy is hoping to see some great ones from today's session. Mr. J is *almost* 3 wks old - & well in newborn photography - that means more alert, less willing to sleep -- but have no fear - I think you will *love* what we ended up with. He wasn't a fussy baby in the least-- he just wanted to see what all the fuss was about - It was such a pleasure meeting him & his mommy & grandma today- I wish you all many many blessings on your new life ahead with baby Jack!!!
look at that belly -- I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby bellys so full and squishy :)

....already 16 mos old! It is true that I have never taken my boys to a portrait studio - I have always taken their pictures but lately I have had one excuse after the other - and I wish I had more images of them taken. Big Brother was sick this weekend -so we took lil man outside for a quick play in the backyard - I took advantage of his good mood & snapped a few!

This precious lil man was like putty in my hands-- he slept *almost* the entire time--and he let me mold him in poses without protest :)
I do wish I had gotten a great closeup of his BLUE BLUE eyes--- PERFECTION!
I know he is already a blessing to his mommy & daddy - and I am so excited to have been able to photograph him.
To his parents - Thank you so much for allowing me the honor and May God bless him & your family for many many years ahead, -Janice

I love this i.am.second. campaign -- you can watch other’s videos also like Brian "Head" Welch - his is powerful also- or go to the website:
My husband and I take turns reading Gavin a story each night at bedtime out of his Veggie Tales Bible Story book - so tonight I was reading him a story about sharing & that God teaches us to be loving & UNselfish to others & to think of others also before ourselves -
and when we were finished - Gavin asked "Where is God though since we can't see him" and I explained to him that God is ALWAYS around us - even though you can't see him - he is in our heart, minds and all around watching over us - and I compared it to how when Gavin goes to bed and he can't see Mommy & Daddy in his room because we are in the living room or our bedroom but he feels safe because he KNOWS we are still there -
then he asks "Well - where does Jesus sleep?"
which I told him "in Heaven -imagine high in the sky above the clouds and the sun and the moon"
then he asks : "Well, momma - does God put on his pajamas?"
The other night I was snapping images for another days post of project 365 - I have been wanting to get some images of Iain sleeping with his BEST FRIEND - "puppy"
I bought "puppy" when I was pregnant with Iain - it was the FIRST thing I bought before I knew if we were having a boy or a girl - because - well Puppies are great for either - so when he was in the NICU "puppy" was right there beside him the entire time and watchs over him every night - and when Iain wakes in the middle of the night- he pulls up & grabs his faithful friend off the rails of the crib and is soothed back to sleep :)
Puppy is simply named - "puppy" since Gavin also has a "puppy" & he never wanted to call him anything else but that - so they each have one of their very own :)
and a snapshot of their early days together :)
